The Second
Annual Association of Licensing & Compliance Professional’s Conference held in
Denver, Colorado. Like last year’s conference, this year’s event was
well-attended with almost forty licensing and compliance professionals from
almost thirty well-respected companies including Darden Restaurants, Inc.,
Brinker International, Inc., Red Robin International, Inc., Rock Bottom
Restaurants, Carrols Corporation, Applebee’s International, Noodles & Company, BUCA, Inc, P.F. Chang’s China Bistro and Dave & Buster’s, Inc. to name just a
few.
Speakers this year included representatives from State and local governments involved in liquor licensing and compliance, representatives from the Colorado Restaurant Association and the National Restaurant Association, Barlap Compliance Corporation, Esquire Petitioning, Compliance Service of America, the BARS Program, and a number of licensing and compliance legal experts who work both locally and throughout the United States.
Topics addressed at this year’s licensing conference were extremely timely. Without exception, every corporate representative attending the conference agreed via a post conference survey that they gained up to date information about licensing and compliance issues, corporate training and compliance issues in connection with the purchase and sale of alcohol, independent compliance and tracking services available to licensing professionals and hospitality operations personnel, and timely legislation and enforcement issues affecting the hospitality industry.
